Angel Reese sent another strong message to the rest of the WNBA on Friday night.

The Atlanta Dream star recorded 23 points and 12 rebounds in a dominant 111-92 road victory over the Toronto Tempo, securing her league-leading 17th double-double of the season. No other player in the WNBA has matched Reese’s production on the glass through the first half of the 2026 campaign.

Reese shot 7-of-11 from the field and 9-of-11 at the free-throw line, finishing with two assists and three steals in 33 minutes. She posted a plus-17 rating as Atlanta collected its third consecutive victory and moved into a tie for first place in the Eastern Conference.

Angel Reese extends incredible double-double streak

Reese has made double-doubles feel almost automatic throughout her WNBA career, but her recent stretch has been particularly impressive. The 24-year-old has now recorded a double-double in five consecutive games. She has scored at least 20 points in each of her past two appearances, shooting 14-of-22 from the field during that span.

Reese finished with 23 points, 13 rebounds and three steals in Monday’s 101-92 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks. Four nights later, she produced another 23-point performance while helping Atlanta pull away from Toronto. Friday’s double-double was Reese’s 17th in 23 appearances this season.

Yahoo Sports highlighted the accomplishment shortly after the final buzzer.

“Angel Reese had her league-leading 17th double-double of the season in the Dream’s win over the Tempo,” Yahoo Sports posted on X.

Reese is averaging 15.3 points and a WNBA-leading 11.8 rebounds per game. She also ranks among the league’s top 10 with 1.7 steals per contest, displaying an impact that stretches beyond her well-documented rebounding ability.

Her efficiency has also improved recently. Reese converted 63.6 percent of her attempts from the field in each of Atlanta’s past two victories. She entered Friday shooting 42.6 percent for the season.

Dream overwhelm Tempo in second half

Toronto kept the game close during the opening half. The teams were tied at 23 after the first quarter, and Atlanta carried only a 48-47 advantage into halftime. The Dream took control after the break, outscoring the Tempo 63-45 across the final two quarters.

Atlanta shot 55 percent from the field and committed only 10 turnovers. The Dream also attempted 28 free throws, converting 24 of them. Naz Hillmon delivered one of the best performances of her career, scoring a team-high 24 points without missing a shot. She went 8-of-8 from the field and 4-of-4 at the free-throw line.

Jordin Canada controlled the offense with 13 assists and did not commit a turnover in 33 minutes. Her playmaking helped Atlanta score 34 points in the fourth quarter and stretch its advantage to as many as 19. Marina Mabrey led Toronto with 26 points, while Julie Allemand added six assists. The Tempo shot 54 percent from the field and 48 percent from beyond the arc but undermined that efficiency by committing 20 turnovers.

Atlanta turned those extra possessions into another convincing win.
